While I enjoy a good south German Helles, I find that some of the random examples from breweries you've never heard of can be disappointingly dull and flabby.
This one at Aldi was pretty good. All the ones from the main Munich brewers are good, but not generally found in the supermarkets. Also Tegernsee and Andechser.
Surely a lager rather than an ale.

ReplyDeleteIf you find a good one that is readily available please let me know, I know that sometimes Aldi seems to get some half decent German beers in.
