Bretagne Gwiniz Du [baron rating /5] - 5.4% dark amber ale, bready dark caramel smell, berries sweet bready taste, fruity bittersweet finish
Bought from Carrefour near Bénodet whilst camping at the excellent Camping du Letty in Bénodet, Brittany, France.
I've drunk this beer in Benodet while camping at another campsite around the headland from du Letty. Brasserie de Bretagne produce some decent bottled beers differing in style to the rest of France as do other Breton breweries.
ReplyDeleteI found these in the local supermarket on the first day, picked up a couple of mixed cases to work through.
ReplyDeleteI also particularly enjoyed Affiligem & Grimbergen Tripels which were very available and well priced too.
